On 26 April Shirley Hawley, Chair of the branch was very pleased to present Chloe Watson, landlady of the Railway Arms near Alton Station with the branch award for Pub of the Year 2025.

Shirley was also on duty on the 30 April to award Luke and Becca at Cassidy's in Alton High Street the East Hants Cider Pub of the Year accolade.

Shirley also took the opportunity to present local cider producers, Roy Waby and William Selborne of Blackmoor Estates with the silver medal certificate for their Flash Pond Perry from the Gosport Winterfest XXX at the end of February.
