Previously the Forest Inn this spacious, rambling Greene King house re-opened after a long period of refurbishment as the Chef & Brewer branded Ball & Wicket on 31 July 2021. There are many interconnected drinking and dining area plus a substantial function suite upstairs with panoramic views over the old "Oval" cricket ground. The guest beers occasionally include a locally brewed ale. Substantial menu of quality fare at reasonable prices. Very friendly and helpful staff.
