This Grade II listed hostelry has been a pub since 1745, and was also a court house famed for the trial of the lawyers clerk who murdered Sweet Fanny Adams. Previously the Dukes Head the George is a friendly local run by Jason & Susannah with 4 rotating beers, usually from the SIBA list, one of which is frequently a dark beer. Sharp's Sea Fury is the regular beer and Longdog Red Runner (rebadged as Golden Best) is frequently available. Meals to suit all tastes.
